Hello! My name is Julie Guerette and I truly love event planning. I have over 15 years of experience in the wedding and event planning world.
I am passionate about bringing people together. Event planning begins with understanding your vision and building a partnership with you, which allows for successful and memorable events.
My favorite thing about being a special event planner is getting to know my clients and seeing them and their guests experience their event's vision come to life.
I have lived in Maine my whole life and, although I am biased, I do think Maine is an incredibly beautiful state with so much to offer.
My favorite way to enjoy the state when I'm not planning events? I love spending time with my husband and kids, whether it be skiing in winter or spending time on the coast during the summer.
I've had the pleasure of working with Julie on events of all kinds. On a professional level, Julie planned landmark events for Good Shepherd Food Bank for nearly a decade. I have worked with Julie for the past 4 years, in partnership with each our respective companies. Our event took a lot of planning, time, and effort to make it work. Once Julie and I began working on this project, I was so happy it was her I was working with. Julie was attentive, prompt with responses and willing to go the extra mile to make sure all the details for our event was exactly what they needed to be. We met when she was organizing a recognition dinner for Good Shepherd Food Bank and seeking partner restaurants to serve their signature cuisine to over 200 guests at their distribution center.
Planning such an event was a mammoth undertaking as she enlisted and directed a cast of dozens including culinary artists, vendors, musicians, staff, and a board of directors. From accommodating 13 chefs in a warehouse, to the culminating dinner and award presentation, there were a lot of moving parts.
It was seamless. The distribution center was transformed into an elegant yet fun space. The chefs were delighted, the guests wowed and Julie’s eye for detail impeccable. The event planning, timeline, execution and pacing were flawless especially as the attendees, including donors and VIPs, were happily oblivious to Julie’s behind-the-scenes efforts that created an event to remember.

Maine Premier Event Planning made our celebration – the first for our whole staff since the pandemic began – fun and easy for all. Julie took care of the planning, including many details I never would have thought of, so all I had to do was say “yes!” In past years, my department was responsible for food, set-up and decorations, entertainment and prizes – the whole assortment of activities – and clean up! What a treat it was to have Julie work with the caterer, the venue and set-up staff, and to pull all the pieces together for us on the day, so we could join our colleagues in games and conversation without worrying about when food needed to be put out, where the bags of ice were, or whether everyone got a name tag! Julie’s good-natured presence and attention to detail allowed us to look back on the day and say, “that was a blast!”
