Hello! My name is Julie Guerette and I truly love event planning. I have over 15 years of experience in the wedding and event planning world.
I am passionate about bringing people together. Event planning begins with understanding your vision and building a partnership with you, which allows for successful and memorable events.
My favorite thing about being a special event planner is getting to know my clients and seeing them and their guests experience their event's vision come to life.
I have lived in Maine my whole life and, although I am biased, I do think Maine is an incredibly beautiful state with so much to offer.
My favorite way to enjoy the state when I'm not planning events? I love spending time with my husband and kids, whether it be skiing in winter or spending time on the coast during the summer.
I've had the pleasure of working with Julie on events of all kinds. On a professional level, Julie planned landmark events for Good Shepherd Food Bank for nearly a decade. From transforming a distribution center into a beautiful dining room to planning a groundbreaking and grand opening ceremony events for a new facility, Julie's keen eye for detail and can-do attitude made memorable experiences for guests and hosts alike. Julie comes up with unique and creative solutions to unique event planning challenges and manages vendors to execute her vision. It's no surprise that when I needed help planning the hardest event of my life--my husband's celebration of life--I turned to Julie. Within a matter of days she had all of the details organized (during a pandemic, no less) and had rallied a team of people and resources to help--she had everything taken care of so I could focus on my kids and myself. Big, small, corporate or personal, wedding and event planning--Julie can do it all!

Julie helped our organization pull off a weekend of events--with challenges ranging from creative VIP lodging arrangements to shuttle buses on back roads to creating a speaking program including state, federal, and tribal dignitaries. During and after our events, we heard from our partners and donors numerous times that it felt like "we do this type of event every weekend." We certainly don't - and I attribute the seamless and elegant result to Julie's deft management and hard work.

we would give Julie 10 stars, but Google only lets us give 5. Julie was literally our rock on our special day. We truly can’t express how much all of her help and guidance was appreciated. She read our minds and knew what we needed/wanted when we didn’t even know what we needed. For example, she had snacks and water for us during our pictures to make sure we were fed and able to enjoy the whole evening. She coordinated the vendors so we didn’t have to worry about anything. She made sure our first look was perfect, giving advice and making sure we were where we needed to be. I've worked in the non-profit sector for over 30 years and organized dozens of events. This is the first year I partnered with an event planner. I emphasis the word partnered. I was hesitant to hire an event planner because it felt like one more thing I'd have to manage. However, after interviewing Julie I recognized she knew the assignment at hand - to be my partner and work WITH me.
Julie was genuinely invested in our success and took time to understand our organizations mission and vision. She is highly organized, an attentive listener, and has a calming presence.
